Kevin Hammonds


Kevin wrote book and lyrics for When Midnight Strikes (published by Rogers and Hammerstein, cast recording available on iTunes) and Brenda Bly: Teen Detective (published by Samuel French). Other musicals written with Charles Miller include Hope, No One in the World, Mr. Christmas (all published by Rogers and Hammerstein), Big Top and RSVP ASAP. New York productions include Kiss and Make Up, Men: The Musical!, Crescendo Falls, Game Night and Heads Up. Most recently, his musical The Answering Machine won “Best Musical” and “Best Lyrics” at Theatre Now New York's 2nd Annual Musical Festival. His newest musical Up and Away, was produced as a staged reading by the Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab, and was the recipient of an Anna Sosenko Assist Trust Grant and is currently playing Pittsburg CLO. Most recently, Kevin was awarded the Jerry Harrington Award from the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Advanced Workshop for which he is a member.
